Dr. Alexander obtained her doctorate in clinical psychology from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. She completed her internship at the University of Kansas Medical Center on the Underserved Populations Track. She completed rotations in inpatient child psychology, inpatient adult psychology, KU Center for Telemedicine and Telehealth, outpatient psychology, neurorehabilitation psychology, rural psychology, and primary care. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship in Integrated Behavioral Health in the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she has stayed on as faculty since 2024. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor and provides Integrated Behavioral Services to patients in the primary care clinic. She has a particular interest in using cognitive behavioral therapy to address eating behaviors and weight-related challenges
